General Notes:
Graduated with Phi Beta Kappa rank, at Waterville College, in the class of 1851. After studying law at the Harvard Law School, he engaged in the practice in partnership with Gov.. Samuel Wells at Portland, From 1856 to 1858 he practiced law in Dubuque Iowa. Returning to Waterville, he became Cashier of Tleonic Bank, in which institution he continued thirty-eight years and was succeeded by his eldest son.. He was, for a time, Assistant Collector of Internal Revenue, and has served the College on the prudential and other important committees. 18
Aaron married Emily Carleton Heath, daughter of Hon. Solyman Heath and Emily Redington.
