On the morning following his wedding young Plaisted was surprised and captured by the Indians, but after being kept a prisoner by them for a few days was ransomed by is friends and restored in safety to his young bride. ¹⁵

Samuel married Hannah Cilley. (Hannah Cilley died on 29 December 1847 ¹⁵.)
